Earthquake Rattled Indiana

Thursday Morning was a shaking cum shoking morning for Miami Valley residents. An earthquauke of 3.8 magnitude rocked Indianaat at 7:55:21 a.m. The Indiana Geological Survey had no records of a 3.8 magnitude earthquake in Central Indiana ever before.

The last major earthquake in Indiana on April 18, 2008, had a magnitude of 5.2 and was the strongest to hit the state in 40 years. The epicenter of that 5:37 a.m. quake, seven miles below the Earth's surface, was near West Salem, Ill., about 125 miles southwest of Indianapolis, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. That quake was considered to be associated with the midwest New Madrid fault.

If reports are believed then no injuries or damage happened in this natural calamity.

Earthquake Rattled Indiana

3.8 Magnitude Earthquake Of Central Indiana

An earthquake with 3.8 magnitude hit today before sunrise on north central Indiana. According to U.S. Geological Survey report it is about 5 miles below the ground of Greentown at 7:55 am early morning.

This magnitude of earthquake feels like a loaded truck passing by No damage was immediately reported ,said Geophysicist Randy Baldwin.

Howard County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Steve Rogers said the department was bombarded by phone calls after the quake from people wondering if there had been an explosion. He said some people reported hearing a loud boom.

The epicenter was located about 15 miles east-southeast of Kokomo, 15 miles west-southwest from Marion and 50 miles north of Indianapolis. No damage report due to this earthquake, but closer to epicenter residents reported being rattled.

Indianapolis People on Northeastside said items were in their place vibrating slightly irregular manner in homes and workplaces.

Garrard Missis Out This Season Finale

Due to injury on middle finger playing against Indianapolis David Garrard will not play the season finale at Houston. He had surjury on his finger this Thursday.

He wasn't present in the practice session on Wednesday this was his forth consecutive miss.

He hit his finger on opponents helmet during the play on Dec.19 2010 result an injury.

Garrard's injury probably might not do much to dampen those feelings. After all, he's just 39-37 as a starter and has one playoff victory.

This season was one of his best, though. He completed 64.5 percent of his passes for 2,734 yards, with 23 TD passes and 15 interceptions and a passer rating of 90.8.

Garrard replaced by Edwards when he left the field against Titans on Monday due to injury. Edwards was also unavailable in some matches due to thumb injury New man joureneyman Todd Bouman got the start.

Bouman likely will serve as the backup this week against the Texans.
