Being the first release of the year, No One Killed Jessica is is going to have a very good opening.
The rumors are that it's inspired by the high-profile murder of model Jessica Lall, a incidence, a crime that revealed everything and once rocked the nation 11 years ago. This tragic story is now the passion and a great idea of Filmmaker Rajkumar Gupta to present it on celluloid and known to be his second directorial venture that is releasing Friday.
The great name of the company behind this masterpiece is UTV Spotboy(Produced by), the film's star cast includes Vidya Balan as Jesscia's sister "Sabrina" where the role of a journalist played by" Rani Mukerjee" named Meera Gaiety who feels fair,accurate and passionately about the case.
Vidya Balan who plays Jessica's sister Sabrina who fought tooth and nail to get justice for her sister.We also have stars Randeep Hooda in the film.
It is stated as a surprise package.
A model, Jessica who also worked as a bartender part time, was unfortunately shot dead in April 29, 1999, the killer was Manu Sharma, who is a son of former union minister Venod Sharma. They 1st meet at a party organized at designer-socialite Bina Ramani's night bar Tamarind Court in the capital where she refused to serve him a drink .However, due to lack of evidence the nine accused were acuqitted by the trial court in February 2006.
Delhi Police filed appeal in the high court in March 2006, and in the month of December Manu, Vikas Yadav and Amardeep were convicted. In April 2010, the Supreme Court upheld the conviction and life term of Manu.
Despite many personal and other problems. Sabrina never gave up for 11 years ,stood her ground and fought for justice for her sister .
The film is neither a biography of any person nor a documentary, Gupta clarified. It is his 'own interpretation' of the case, there is nothing to be judgmental on.
A-certificate to No One Killed Jessica ,what else you need in life when The censor board Award you with this big opportunity -it is based on a real murder - that too without any cuts and its makers Thursday hailed the decision saying they were happy to be able to take the story to the audience.Well, we wish them a great year ahead and hope the movie hits the boxoffice soon,as just few more hours are left to watch the master piece.
