A very pregnant Mariah Carey posed nude for the cover of the April 18th issue of Life & Style Weekly. The cover story accompanies an exclusive interview and photo shoot with the megastar.Mariah Carey is set to give birth to her twins any day now, but before that she wanted to join the ranks of stars such as Demi Moore and Britney Spears who have bared it all while expecting.
Carey’s less than a month away from delivering a boy and girl with husband Nick Cannon and she’s covering the latest issue of Life & Style in the buff, with just her arm covering, well, her other twins.Carey, 42, who appears to be standing, has her hair flowing down her chest and uses her arm to cover her breasts while showcasing her protruding belly and massive wedding ring.
"I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn't want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience," Carey tells the magazine. "My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans."She says her babies were excited about the photo shoot, as they wouldn’t stop moving.
"The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable," she said. "Especially the girl -- clearly she's a diva in training! We didn't start shooting until 1:30 a.m. because I was in the hospital from the night before until the day of the shoot with contractions five minutes apart!"
Carey was in the hospital on her birthday in late March after having early contractions. The experience made husband Nick Cannon find more appreciation for his wife. "I thought I couldn't love Mariah more," Cannon said. "But I have a whole new appreciation and admiration for her."
Carey concludes she has a new respect for mother’s after being pregnant.
"Now I have so much respect for mothers everywhere, especially those who've had difficult pregnancies or given birth to multiples. We need to have Mother's Day once a week!"
